Summer camp 2024

Are you ready to take your saxophone skills to new heights? Do you fancy a week full of music, entertainment and new friendships? Then sign up for our unforgettable summer camp from the 4th till the 9th of August. Whether you are a beginner, learning to play the first notes or a seasoned musician looking to refine your skills, our camp offers an inspiring environment where you can let your talent grow and flourish. Our summer camp welcomes all saxophone players with at least one year of experience and with a minimum age of 8 years.

Enjoy personal guidance during individual saxophone lessons, where the various members of the BSC will help you to improve your technique and further develop your musicality. Explore the world of chamber music during the various rehearsals where you will work with like-minded musicians, led by trained saxophonists, on different pieces. A large saxophone orchestra where all participants come together to form a harmonious whole will certainly not be missing. Besides the different lessons, you will also be able to enjoy some fun workshops!

Besides the musical offerings, there will of course also be room for relaxation for both young and old. A fun summer activity, a game in the common room or an evening beverage in the bar, you will find everything you need for a week full of fun and unforgettable memories.

Our specialised and trained teachers and tutors look forward to welcoming you! We provide customised programmes for every age group and level. In short, everyone is welcome. We will definitely jump in together!

We would love to welcome you on Sunday 4 August at 17:00 and conclude the intense week musically with a concert on Friday 9 August at 19:30. The concert will end around 22:00, bringing the camp to a festive end. Everything will take place at the residence and training centre Hanenbos (Lotsesteenweg 103, 1653 Beersel).

Location

Hanenbos is located in the green outskirts of Brussels, in the Zenne Valley, a stone's throw from the capital. You can reach the estate by public transport, by bike or by car.

Coming by train?
Get off at Halle station and take bus R53 or R55 (direction Ninove, Drogenbos, Anderlecht). Get off at the Centrum or Gravenhof stop. From there it is a short walk to Hanenbos.

Do you prefer to come by car?
Then of course we advise you to carpool as much as possible. There is a car park at the entrance to Hanenbos. Driving on the domain itself is prohibited.
